BENFICA 1 COPENHAGEN 1
CELTS & MAN U through
My head says
CELTIC 1 MAN UTD 1
BENFICA 2 COPENHAGEN 0
All to play for in match day 6 _________________ "The Celtic shirt does not shrink to fit inferior players" |

| Hate predicting games b4 hand especially this one but our midfield has to play better than they did down there. Scholes had far too much time on the ball down there. The only player Man U fear in the celtic team is big Jan so he hopefully will get the chances needed to put Man U away. |

I think if Gravesen can play at the top of his game and help Lenny out, unlike he played ay OT then we have a chance. Bothe teams have a similar midfield in that we both have two solid cental midfielders who can pass and two wider playmakers.
Should be interesting _________________ "The Celtic shirt does not shrink to fit inferior players" |

Hi Alfie, hows things today, see this place appears to have been a bit busier this morning with a few new posters, great news.
I think it will be 2-1 Celtic and 2-0 benfica in the other game. I seriously hope im right but the nearer i get to the game i am starting to worry that they might actually rip us apart |

Will take any victory tonight but like Dennybhoy I am a little worried that they could take 2 or 3 of us. However, having said that I am going to go for a 2-1 victory for Celtic and couldn't care less about the Benfica Copenhagen game, as if we can't beat Copenhagen, in the last game, to go through to the last 16 then we don't deserve to go thro.

Normally I would agree abouth the other result but our record away from home in CL games is so poor that we must try & do the business tonight.
In saying that we need to start getting away points soon _________________ "The Celtic shirt does not shrink to fit inferior players" |

| Yeah, I hear you alfie but as has been proven a few times with us in the champs league if we don't pick up points away from home then inevitably we won't go through. I feel that no matter what the score tonight we will need to go to Copenhagen and win the match to progress any further. Which I would have taken at the beggining of the campaign despite our awful record away in champs league. |

I think, from what I have heard, that the biggest problems in Copenhagen will be the weather & the state of the pitch, but I agree we do need to start picking up away points in the CL.
It's funny when you consider the amount of games that we have won or drawn away from home in the UEFA cup recently. _________________ "The Celtic shirt does not shrink to fit inferior players" |

Alfie your right, our home record in europe does show that we have every right to expect the correct result tonight and i really do see us winning 2-1. think its maybe just big game nerves.
I would love to see a draw in the other game however i cant see copenhagen getting anything out of it. |

Agree plus Copenhagen will have their best player back from injury when we visit them cant remember his name right enough. Some of our performances away from europe have been excellent and it is silly mistakes that get us caught but tactically I think WGS has been shocking at times, he really needs to sit down and get Copenhagen right cause as Denny said we will need to take something from it. |

SC,
I think both MON & WGS have made tactical mistakes away from home in the past in the CL but we seem to do better in knockout competetion, so maybe we should approach the Copehagen game as if we have a 1-0 home result and need to knock them out. _________________ "The Celtic shirt does not shrink to fit inferior players" |

| Thats true Alfie but the reason we did so well in the Uefa cup is our opponents underestimated us when playing them in there own patch apart from maybe Boavista, the teams played well against us at CP and thought they could do it on their own ground remember the comments from Souness after the game against us a CP. WGS needs to get his tactics right in Copenhagen or were out its the only issue I have with the wee man is his ability to do it at the higher level. |
