so the guy we were after last summer, Bernard Mendy, who incidentally is avilabale on a free and is linked with the mighty Hull City is apparently off our radar. According to the BBC gossip column we're after the Cameroon LB Timothee Atouba from Hamburg for £2m? seems a bit odd..although maybe Mendy was crap 
one thing is for sure - Naylow can't be our first choice LB next season!
Also, apparently stoke want Tommy G - hopefully they can agree something on this wages...

Left back has always been a nightmare for us and most other clubs. I dont know how the hell we cannot seem to fill that position. Hibs brought a guy up from down south on loan and he looked half decent.
Considering Strachan has bought doumbe, wilson, naylor, hinkel, telford and camara and they have not exactly set the heather on fire so to speak. Lets hope that we get someone in and quickly. |

| I think the consensus is that Naylor had a decent first season, but was terrible last year. Personally I think that the first season, most fans were so relieved to have a natural left footed player back there that they were a bit blind to his deficiencies even then. He's always been a pretty average player, and would be fine as 2nd choice, but is not good enough to be a regular first team player with us. The problem is there is adearth of quality LB's around and too many teams are looking for one... |

We need a guy who can cross the fracking ball in and have to defend very minimal during the majority of games. One thing for sure it cant be ODea  |

nah, no point playing O'dea at LB. I am still slightly confused why we seemed to have dropped our interest in the PSG LB now he's available on a free?!? |
